Farewell Stan..
As the old timer at the end of the bar saying goes “you take with one hand and give away with the other” that feeling sort of applies to Celtic today. On the one hand we have obtained Keano’s replacement and a nasty streak into the middle of the park on the other we have lost the best midfield player in Scotland.
The forever forlorn and sulky looking mono-browed stereotypical Bulgur Stan P has got his wish and is moving to the over-rated EPL to team up with Saint Martin and what will become a growing colony of ex hoops.
Good move for Stan, a lot better than the one to the Pompey Chimes and Arfur Redknapp. Villa are on the up with MON and the porn king Randy Lerners money on board European football is a possibility and maybe a wee outside chance of winning the Carling Cup as MON likes that competition.
So what are the villains getting? One of the best midfielders in the country, great engine, work rate of an eastern European mule and at least 10 goals a season from the middle of the park. Stan has impeccable timing and will arrive in the box to get on the end of crosses or through balls constantly and for his lack of height is good in the air. He is also versatile as he can play on the right, middle and even up front if called upon.
Our memories of Stan will be of his lung bursting performances in Europe and against R*ngers. The uncanny knack he had of scoring against r*ngers and the fact he loved scoring against r*ngers. I mean my favourite ever Stan goal is his flying heider in the 6-2 game.
On the downside maybe just maybe if we had made him captain last year we would have seen him become a testimonial Celt, but he made his decision and we got a fair bit of wonga for him.
Good Luck Stan, wish you well and you will always be welcome at CP.
So what did we get in return? Well a r*nger fan just said to me “£45,000 grand a week of rubbish”
In the words of John Lennon “He’s just a jealous guy” Says it all really.

meant to say reg goals, amazingly stan p scored 3 headers against them.
the best one i think was the opener in the 2-1 game at ibrox when bellamy scored as well although the 6-2 header was a belter too.

Good Luck to Petrov in the EPL. We`ll have something to look out for in MOTD. It feels like a family member leaving. :-(
Welcome TG! Not a defensive midfielder, by the way. Let`s hope he will play well for us.

It is like a family member leaving, he was in with the bricks but all good things come to an end.
Was trying to remember the last time we sold someone for what they were worth? Any takers?
This international week will take away momentum built up by the signing of TG and any others......
Internationals should be banned....
But worryingly heard this morning that TG dropped his wage demands due to the medical?
I smell a meeja induced rat.....

The blog will soon be upgraded and revamped. It will become an out of town stadium in an industrial park right next door to a supermarket with no atmosphere, a bit like CP against Falkirk really.
No only kidding it will still reek of pesh and be an all standing job but it’s going to get a lick of paint a new fancy stand. Increase capacity and most importantly better pies.
If it comes off I think it will be the smartest Celtic blog on the web. Pity the writing will still be pesh.
But next week possibly Monday / tuesday there will be a new address for 24 hours
www.thelordofthewing05/06.blogspot.com then hopefully 24 hours later the new site back at the old address will be up and running.
Sorry for the confusion but it will be worth it………….
